We Traipsed to a birthday brunch last weekend and the restaurant, Jack’s Wife Freda, was so charming and delicious!
The space itself is small and cozy, which makes it better for smaller groups. Between the decor, drinks, food and service you really can’t go wrong here. Jack’s Wife Freda exudes cuteness, just look for the different messages on the sugar packets. They range in like “Hey there, hot-tea” to “Jack <3’s Freda.” For drinks and food you can’t go wrong with Pimm’s Cup No. 1 and Maya’s Grain Bowl. Both were fantastic! Our waitress was truly excellent and jumped right into photographer mode when taking a few group photos.
Jack’s Wife Freda is definitely a place you can brunch with friends and still eat healthy. The Grain Bowl was full of kale and fresh vegetables that was topped with a poached egg. For the dressing the bowl was complimented with a balsamic vinaigrette. What is important to note here is the dressing was automatically served on the side. Having this feature is an added bonus since we not only forgot to ask for it, but it shows this restaurants commitment to serving healthy meals.
Now don’t get us wrong, there is something here for everyone, not just the veggie mongers. Jack’s Wife Freda offers a wide variety of items from Waffles to Tofu, there is truly something for everyone.
