This year we participated in the 3rd Annual Hoboken Turkey Trot. Hoboken really lucked out with a beautiful fall day. The event had over 1,000 participants that really brought their best trot. Since the course was on the Hoboken waterfront it was virtually flat and had the most scenic views of New York’s skyline, which made running all the more easier. The race was well organized by City Challenge Obstacle Race and ran like clockwork between the Fun Run and 5k.
Not only were we able to burn some calories before Turkey Day but this all benefited many local charities. Some of them are Hoboken Recreation Department, Hoboken Shelter and the Hoboken EMS. This event supports a great cause and something family and friends can traipse too (dressed like a Turkey or not). We had a blast and will surely be trotting next year!
