Il Bastardo Brunch

The Traipsing Co. and a few of our friends enjoyed the fun-filled adventure of brunching at Il Bastardo this weekend. If you’re looking to get a head start to your night (and by this we mean noon) then our suggestion is Il Bastardo. This spot will give you the club vibes that you’re going for.

Since this is more than your typical boozy brunch you should be prepared to dress a little more fun 🙂 Il Bastardo doesn’t open until noon so be prepared to get there in advance of your reservation and do make one! It’s also worth mentioning that they won’t seat you until most of your party has arrived. This is due to the fact that you only get two hours at your table and the staff is pretty strict about this.

Once we were seated each person had to choose from the prix-fixe menu a drink and entrée. Standard drink choices are a bottle of Champagne, Rose, Mimosa or Bellini. Aside from the music, one of the biggest draws to this spot is the fact that you get your own bottle of Champagne, which is plenty of drink for one person. However there are bars if you run out or just want to switch up your drink. We decided to sip on Champagne because there is nothing better than bubbles!

After receiving our bottles we then ordered entrées. Il Bastardo’s menu is pretty heavy so we went with the Wild Mushroom & Truffle Frittata. We were pretty surprised when this was served as the portion was huge. However given the amount of beverage that is included the meal sizes have to be relative.

We ate quickly and then danced the rest of our time away, which brings us to the other draw to Il Bastardo. You are able to not only sip on your own bottle, but you can also get up on the ledges and dance with friends. The only recommendation for dancing is that you should not get up on the table and dance!

Il Bastardo is a great place to traipse to with a large group of friends that are looking for a bit more than your typical brunch!

As Always,

Happy Traipsing!
